Mel Hinds heads Edelman UK’s Brand practice, overseeing a diverse team of creatives, planners and PR professionals. She leads UK, European and global campaigns for some of the largest and most desirable brands in the world, including Heineken, PayPal, Coca Cola, LEGO ASICS and GSK.
She enjoys crafting brand stories which create meaningful connections between brands and audiences, earning trust and attention by keeping stories authentic.
Since joining Edelman she has grown the firm’s purpose and integrated marketing capabilities. She is passionate about the evolving world of communications and helping brands stay relevant to the next generation.
A born publicist, she’ll do anything to create headlines. Once braving a blizzard training session with the British Army, only to have to be rescued by the Brigadier’s helicopter.
Before joining Edelman, Mel was board director at Havas and prior to that she worked in TV.
